Join international artist Cat Tesla for her iconic workshop "Abstract Composition & Color"!

In this workshop you’ll hit the ground running by learning abstract compositions and how to work from the grid to clarify and strengthen your artistic voice, as well as the necessary steps to fix a painting that isn’t working. You’ll learn how to use color and value to make your paintings pop without being overstated or overworked. We’ll cover techniques such as veiling, mono-printing, and using shapes and unconventional tools to enhance your style. Whether you paint purely abstract or paint nature-based abstract paintings, this workshop will give you the skills to improve your painting process and take the guesswork out of strengthening your voice as an artist.

We will work with acrylic paint and mark making tools (eg. graphite, Woodies, beeswax crayons, etc).

Paper is provided for any exercises done on paper.

Expect to complete at least 6-8 paintings. If you paint quickly, you may end up with 10-12 at the finish line.
