Come learn to create whimsical, botanical paintings on beeswax-coated panels, using alcohol inks and cans of compressed air. All supplies will be included in the one-day class where you will create fun floral inspired paintings using alcohol ink as your paint and a can of compressed air as your paint brush. You will learn basic encaustic skills as you will apply melted encaustic paint to your panels, manipulate the alcohol inks using the compressed air and embellish the finished paintings with additional ink using a small paintbrush.
The subject matter is endless in this class as your imagined botanicals will take on a life of their own and allow you to be free with your compositions. You will complete 3 finished paintings on 8-inch cradled panels, suitable for immediate display or holiday gifting!
No art experience is required, just your open mind will do!
