Step into four days of intuitive painting with abstract expressionist Mindy Moore, and give yourself space to explore, release, and reconnect with your creative voice. Grounded in the belief that painting can be deeply therapeutic, Mindy will guide you through a range of techniques that invite freedom, curiosity, and personal meaning on the canvas.

• Explore mark making as a way to translate gesture, energy, and emotion into visual language

• Work with color theory to build palettes that feel intentional and alive

• Refine your sense of composition, finding balance between spontaneity and structure

• Use masking techniques to build layered surfaces, edges, and hidden moments

• Experiment with color glazing to create depth, radiance, and subtle shifts in tone

• Practice blending to weave areas together and create flow, atmosphere, and nuance

Mindy will demonstrate each approach, then support you as you interpret it through your own instincts—inviting you to respond, edit, and experiment rather than follow rigid steps. The focus is on discovering processes you can carry into your own practice and shape into something distinctly yours.

This workshop is open to all levels—from those new to painting to seasoned artists seeking to loosen, deepen, or expand their abstract work.
