Overview

Nell Tilton and Zona Wainwright have, between them, more than 28 years of experience teaching abstract art. Their intention is to encourage each student, to help them reach their greatest potential and express their own unique visual language in non-objective art. The participants in this workshop are prompted to explore techniques, color, and to consider overall composition in order to create strong visual work. Specifically, the students will work on color use and mixing, how to begin an abstract painting, draw inspiration from creative exercises and learn about special tools to utilize in their work.

What to Expect

Nell and Zona work as a team. However, individual attention to each student is available from either or both of them, making this workshop invaluable with their experienced perspectives and teaching styles. Zona and Nell are there to support, challenge and create a stimulating atmosphere.

Designed For

Familiarity with acrylic paint, its application and understanding of basics in painting are highly suggested.
