BIOGRAPHY

Kerry Schroeder is a contemporary mixed-media artist. Her paintings are ethereal and abstract, yet rooted in the physical world, finding context and carrying underlying narratives. Her multi-layered works offer her a practice of opening, allowing, discerning, finding what is potent and meaningful and letting go of what is not. Kerry’s paintings have been featured in galleries, exhibitions and cultural centers throughout the United States and have been featured in several national arts publications.

Kerry truly believes that making art is the process of finding one’s self and she set out to do that in 2011. After a long career as a graphic designer, she felt a strong desire to begin to express her own thoughts and ideas and not just interpret those of others. Kerry has been coaching and teaching artists for the past eight years, allowing her to share her experiences and insights of finding one’s personal path and making authentic work.
